So.. Talk-Action=Hippies is out! It is available on iTunes, Bandcamp, and in one of 4 colours of delicioous Vinyl. The 7" does come with a DRM free high quality digital download as well, so you can put it on your listening device or choice, or burn a compact disc, or make a mix tape, or whatever you decide to do with it. Our Loo Corez EP releases are now on iTunes as well. "... and he didn't have a say" "... and he's to blame" In Tour news, we're heading east.. not very far east, just to Regina. We're going to attempt at documenting the trip on shitty camcorders and cellphones. Also we have decided to take one of our favorite Edmonton bands, The Mange, with us.. Those of you who have never seen the Mange, you need to change that. - Jim Nowhere |

A Sad Day for all Canadians, If you were a supporter of the NDP or not, the death of the Right Honourable Jack Layton is a blow to all of us, his passion and respect for all Canadians will not go forgotten. He was a great influence to us here at the Zero Cool camp, and he will be missed by all. Words can not express what this blow will do here in Canada. "Rest In Peace Sir Jack Layton, an inspiration to me for the past decade, and honourable man, and a passion for the people that could never be matched, I only hope to be the kind of man that you were. you will be missed". - Jim "Nowhere" Ralnyk "R.I.P. Jack Layton, you were a true inspiration to us, and to all Canadians. You're legacy will live on, you're love of all Canadians, and fight for the welfare of our country will not be forgotten.". - Zero Cool "Goodbye Mr. Layton" - KP We will continue to do what we do best, and hope that the strength and love that Jack always had will resound through our music to you. - Jim Nowhere |

Good Day To You. Yes, to you, you punk rock fanatics, we have some glorious news. The test pressings for Talk - Action = Hippies are en route to us for our aural pleasure and confirmation that all is a go, and then you'll be able to get your hands on some sweet sweet tunes. The 7" will be limited to 500 copies, so when you announce where and when to get them, make sure that you do. Did i mention that it will be in coloured vinyl? No? Well it will be; Red, White, Blue, Clear. Those will be your choices, and i have no idea how many of each are being printed, or how you will know what colour that you'll get. The folks over at Livid Records will give you those details when they have them. In mersh news, we did another order of the Pentagram T-Shirts so make sure you come and grab one at a gig, our online mersh store will be undergoing some changes in the next month or so, so that it can take paypal, and not charge you in USD, that sort of thing. Also planning out our new Patches and Stickers for when the 7" comes out. We've had a bit more press as of late as well, and some play on CJSR's "Rock n Roll Must Be Destroyed" (I) Jim Nowhere was a guest, ans Rolga and i chatted it up for a while, you can download the podcast from here (you want the May 11 2011 podcast). We were also recently interviewed on the brand new VoidTV based out of Edmonton, and that should be up shortly after i finish this post. |

Oh, Hello. For those of you who follow us on Twitter (@ZeroCoolBand) you may be aware of a slight delay in the vinyl release of "Talk - Action = Hippies" we're hoping to have them by mid March. If you're just looking for the digital copy head over to Livid Records digital store and pick it up. We are re-pressing another limited run of "... And He's To Blame" that can be picked up at shows or you can snake it from our digital store using the "pay what you may" pricing. I haven't quite figured out how to sell you T-shirts over the internet yet without it getting a little crazy, but soon it should be possible. We've gotten a bit of press recently, you can find out who loves us by reading it. In more merch related news we're almost out of the "Pentagram" shirts and are uncertain if we want to make more or go with another design, so feel free to email me (jimnowhere@zerocoolband.com) and if we use your design you will get a free shirt, recognition for the design, copies of "... And He Didn't Have A Say", and "... And He's To Blame". As always we have plenty of shows coming up, and if you want to see us come play closer to you, send me an email and we will do our best to make it happen. We're taking April & May off from playing shows to record a Split 7" with The Swamp Monsters (T.A.R. is putting it out) and record & mix a full length follow up to "Talk - Action = Hippies". - Jim Nowhere |

We Gots Plans.... So we got a couple of things in the works: We haven't officially released the "Pretty EP", but theres only 4 copies left.... this was recorded one afternoon when we were between drummers. 4 acoustic songs: We're Not Fugazi, Tolerance Lobotomy, Strangeland and Wanna Live in My Shed? Along with these songs you get the only studio recording, and i use the term studio very loosely, of Wanna Live in My Shed with Mike on drums. kp |

So Christians like us??? having a drummer on hiatus is kinda like trying to put a saddle on a dead horse. so anyways last month or the month before, we played an Acoustic set at a Christian Battle of the bands, and the song "Tolerance Lobotomy" ( a song completely directed at Christans) was a surprise hit. I'm gonna post a few songs from our "Folk" ep "Pretty" its also available for download, just follow links from our website. www.zerocoolband.com , soon to come.... MORE SHIT!!! |

More Demos EP So instead of one mic in the middle of the room, we miced everything, and still shit.... i'm beginning to think its us... anyways the songs "The Log" (written about that infernal Channel 11, you know the one, the log one, anyways...) and "Your thick head" we're both introduced a couple minutes before recording and he recordings will prove that. The entire session was rehearsed, recorded and mixed in the span of 3 hours. yay? we'll see, if someone actually reads this, tell others and comment, on the songs all the lyrics are written out so read them. or don't, i don't really care. oh and we might be playing a show FEB 10 at the wunderbar, this is pending. hopefully chris gets back to me. |

Demos EP OK i know it sounds like shit. This was recorded at third jam (which usually last around 30 minutes and we end up playing our entire set list 3 times). It was our first run through of the songs "democracy breeds apathy" and "servitude is born". One mic was placed in the middle of the room and it sounds better than a misfit bootleg. we hope to throw a real ep together sometime soon when we have a few more songs. -kp |
